Governors\u2019 Il Moran Flying Package

The camp for those who want that extra bit of luxury. We\u2019ve kept Governors\u2019 IL Moran Camp small and intimate, with added touches that make this the top of the range safari. IL Moran is widely regarded as the premiere camp in the Masai Mara.<\/p>\n

Hidden under ancient trees, deep in the forest, are just 10 tents. They line the winding banks of the Mara River. You\u2019ll be the personal guest of our manager, who\u2019ll look after all your needs.<\/p>\n

The camp is situated along the banks of the Mara River, right in the heart of the Masai Mara Game Reserve, with the best game viewing right on your doorstep. Governors Il Moran Camp has been awarded a Silver Eco Rating by Eco Tourism Kenya for our environmental practices both in camp and with our neighboring community.<\/p>\n

Day 1:<\/strong> Nairobi – Mara<\/p>\n

Fly from Nairobi to Masai Mara aboard Air Kenya. On arrival, you will be met by Musiara staff before being transferred to the Governors Camp for lunch. Thereafter, you will be transferred to Il Moran Camp before taking an afternoon game drive.

Day 2: <\/strong>Mara<\/p>\n

Spend whole day in Masai Mara; two game drives with high chances of catching a glimpse of great Migration of wildebeests entering Mara from the Serengeti Plains in the South. Overnight stay at Governors\u2019 Il Moran Camp<\/strong> – (Full board<\/em>)<\/p>\n

Day 3<\/strong> \u2013 Mara – Nairobi<\/p>\n

You will be scheduled to fly from the Mara back to Nairobi in a morning flight. There may be an option to take an early game drive or a balloon safari prior. Later, you will depart Kenya for the United States.<\/p>\n

Mara Intrepids Flying Package

Sitting above a sweeping bend in the Talek River at the confluence of the Masai Mara\u2019s four game-viewing areas, Mara Intrepids enjoys the most spectacular locations in the Masai Mara ecosystem.<\/p>\n

Each tent is furnished in the classic style of the grand African safaris, with large four-poster beds and handsome reproduction furniture offset by modern en suite bathrooms with hot showers, flush toilets and all modern amenities. Each tent sits on a shady platform, with sweeping views over the riverbanks where a wide variety of animals come to drink. The camp also enjoys a very close relationship with the local Maasai community, from which most of the staff hails from. Activities are in 4\u00d74 vehicles and accompanied by experienced guides as well and walking safaris just outside the reserve.<\/p>\n


\nDay 1: Nairobi \u2013 Masai Mara<\/strong><\/p>\n

Arrive at Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning or afternoon flight to Masai Mara. The flight is approximately 45 minutes to Ol Kiombo Airstip in Maasai Mara.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the airstrip\u201a you will be met by a driver\/ guide who will transfer you to the Mara Intrepids to check in. After lunch you will depart for a late afternoon game drive or enjoy other activities offered at the camp.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Day 2: Mara\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

You will set out just before sunrise in search of game as you enjoy the richness of the Park\u2019s wildlife and endless savannah.<\/p>\n

The Maasai Mara is known as Africa\u2019s Greatest Wildlife Reserve and is famous for the abundance of lion\u201a the Great Wildebeest Migration and the Maasai people who are well known for their distinctive custom and dress\u201a it is without a doubt one of Africa\u2019s most famous safari destinations.<\/p>\n

The Masai Mara stretches 1\u201a510 square km and offers the best game and bird-viewing not only in Kenya\u201a but anywhere in Africa. The views across the rolling golden grasslands studded with acacia trees\u201a rivers and forests are dazzling\u201a the sense of space overwhelming.<\/p>\n

In between your morning and afternoon game drive you will have ample time to relax and enjoy the ambiance at your luxury tented camp.<\/p>\n

Day 3: Masai Mara \u2013 Nairobi<\/strong><\/p>\n
